Nepal Launches Online Donation Portal for International Donors as Flood Relief Efforts Continue

The Government of Nepal has launched a dedicated online payment portal allowing Nepalis living abroad and international donors to contribute directly to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund as rescue and relief operations continue following devastating floods.

The portal, operated through Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL), is available at pmdrf.nchl.com.np.

The new system provides an easier way for people outside Nepal to support government-led disaster response efforts without relying on intermediaries. International donors can make contributions using domestic or international Visa and Mastercard debit or credit cards. Alipay+ is also among the supported payment options.

For donors inside Nepal, the portal also provides options including NepalPay QR, mobile banking, connectIPS and supported digital wallets. The payment system uses 3D Secure verification for card transactions, according to reports on the newly launched facility.

The portal comes as Nepal continues responding to severe flooding, including the devastating Bhote Koshi River flood that has affected communities in Rasuwa and other river-basin areas. Government relief efforts are focused on rescue, immediate assistance and longer-term rehabilitation of affected communities.

The dedicated portal is intended to make it easier for the Nepali diaspora, foreign citizens, organizations and other donors to provide financial support directly through an official government-linked channel.

Donors should use the official portal address and verify payment details before making a contribution to avoid fraudulent fundraising links or accounts.
