A Chinese national has been rescued from the tunnel of the 216MW Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower project in Rasuwa, Nepal.
The Nepal Army said the man, identified as Lu Haitao, was rescued from about 225 metres inside the tunnel.
Army spokesperson Brig Gen Rajaram Basnet confirmed the rescue and released a photograph of the rescued man.
The rescue came on the 11th day after flooding along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers caused widespread destruction in Rasuwa and left workers trapped at hydropower projects.
The Nepal Army rescued two people from the Upper Trishuli-3A project on Thursday.
Upper Trishuli-1 is being constructed by Chinese contractors.
