Bhotu Just Got a Lot Better

We’ve been quietly rebuilding Bhotu, Niguro’s AI assistant, and today we’re making those improvements available.

Bhotu is now better at understanding questions, presenting information, handling complex responses and working across languages. The goal is simple: make it feel less like a basic chatbot and more like a useful everyday assistant built into Niguro.

Here’s what’s new.

Answers that are easier to read

Bhotu can now turn complex answers into properly structured, readable responses.

You’ll see cleaner tables, formatted lists, blockquotes, task lists, code blocks with syntax highlighting and better spacing. Instead of receiving a wall of text, information is presented in a format that makes sense for the question.

Whether you’re comparing information, asking for technical help or working through a longer question, the response should be much easier to follow.

Math and diagrams are now built in

Bhotu can now render mathematical equations using KaTeX and create Mermaid diagrams directly inside conversations.

That means a question about a mathematical formula can result in a properly rendered equation, while a question about a process or workflow can be explained visually with a diagram.

It also handles emoji naturally, making conversations feel a little less rigid.

From Nepal-first information to broader questions

Bhotu remains part of the Niguro ecosystem, so Nepal-focused information and Niguro services remain an important part of the experience.

But Bhotu is no longer limited to Nepal-related questions.

You can ask it general questions, get explanations, explore ideas, work through technical problems or simply learn something new.

And when a Niguro service is relevant, Bhotu can point you toward it.

For example, you could ask about a place and be directed toward Niguro Maps, search for information through Niguro Search, or explore other services available across the platform.

A better experience on phones

Tables can be useful, but wide tables have traditionally been difficult to use on smaller screens.

Bhotu now handles wide tables more intelligently on mobile. You can swipe horizontally through the table, with a scroll control available when needed.

The information stays intact without forcing the entire conversation to become difficult to read.

Bhotu speaks your language

Bhotu now follows the language you use.

Ask in English and it responds in English.

Ask in Nepali and it responds in Nepali.

You don’t need to tell it to change languages first. Just start the conversation naturally.

A simple “नमस्ते” works too.

Built for everyday questions

The update is ultimately about making Bhotu more useful for the kinds of things people actually ask an AI assistant.

You can ask:

“What is the petrol price near me?”

Or:

“Explain how DNS works.”

You can ask it to explain a concept, compare information, help with code, work through a calculation, organize information or simply answer a question.

Bhotu is designed to handle both quick questions and more detailed conversations.

What’s next?

This isn’t the end of Bhotu’s development.

We’re continuing to improve its ability to work with Niguro’s services and information while making the underlying experience faster, more reliable and easier to use.

The bigger idea is to make Bhotu a useful entry point into Niguro itself, rather than just another standalone chatbot.
