Savannah Guthrie makes a new plea nine months after her mother went missing
Today host Savannah Guthrie has shared a new public plea for information about her mother, Nancy Guthrie, nine months after she disappeared from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, November 1, Guthrie said her family aches for answers and cannot move forward until they know what happened. She shared an old drawing that summed up how she feels, saying the world goes on and things appear normal, but for her family it is not normal and never will be.
She asked anyone who knows something to come forward, saying her mother was a light in this world and the family wants to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves. She added that the reward is still available and begged people to help.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on the night of January 31 and was taken from her home in the early hours of February 1. Investigators later found previously lost doorbell camera footage showing an armed, masked person tampering with the camera. Earlier this week, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said investigators travelled to Florida in October to meet lab scientists to see what more could be done to advance the case.
