Advance bookings for Ramayana have crossed Rs 100 crore gross in India before the film reaches cinemas on Thursday, 5 November 2026. The milestone has been reached with advance sales still open ahead of release day. All rupee figures here are Indian rupees.
Around 27.69 lakh tickets, or 2.77 million, have been sold in advance, worth Rs 104.58 crore including block seats, according to trade figures. The tickets cover 87,881 shows in 907 cities across India, showing the scale of the release. The bookings have come from cinemas across the country as viewers booked early for the first shows.
The film is expected to open above Rs 100 crore. Worldwide advance bookings have also passed the Rs 100 crore mark, which means the film has already earned that much before release in India and overseas. An opening above Rs 100 crore would place the film among the biggest openers for an Indian film.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is the first instalment of a two-part cinematic retelling of the ancient epic Ramayana. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays Sita, Yash plays Ravana and Ravie Dubey plays Lakshman. Sunny Deol plays Hanuman in the film.
The second part is planned for Diwali 2027.
The advance numbers put Ramayana among the biggest pre-release performers for an Indian film, with bookings still open as release day arrives. The final advance total will only be known once bookings close, but the film has already set a high mark for a pre-release opening. Trade watchers will now look at the opening day figures to see whether the strong advance sales turn into a record start.
