The third edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League has been postponed as Nepal continues to deal with the aftermath of the devastating floods in Rasuwa.

Infinity Dreams Pvt Ltd, the organiser of the league, announced the decision on Tuesday, saying it stood with families who have lost loved ones and communities affected by the disaster.

The league had originally been scheduled to take place from 1 to 10 October (15–24 Asoj) at the Dasharath Stadium Covered Hall in Kathmandu.

The organisers said the decision to postpone the competition was taken in response to the circumstances created by the floods that struck Rasuwa.

No new dates for the tournament have been announced.

The postponement comes as rescue and relief operations continue in Rasuwa and other areas affected by the flooding, with authorities and organisations focused on search, rescue and support for affected communities.
