Nepal Rastra Bank reference rates, 2026-10-01.
Banks and money changers add their own margin, so treat this as a guide.

Which rate to use
Nepal Rastra Bank publishes a buy and a sell rate for
each currency. The sell rate is what a bank charges you to hand over foreign currency —
the figure that matters when you are buying dollars, paying a foreign bill or topping up
an international card. The buy rate is what you get when you hand foreign currency back.
The mid rate is the halfway point, useful for comparing prices rather
than for a transaction.
NRB quotes some currencies per 100 units (Japanese yen, for instance). The conversion
above already divides by that unit, so every figure is per single unit of the currency.
