Ram Charan and Sukumar reunite as RC17 kicks off with Chiranjeevi's mega clap
Ram Charan and director Sukumar have officially started their much awaited new film, tentatively titled RC17.
The grand pooja ceremony was held in Hyderabad on Sunday, November 1. The event began at around 10:50 am, with Ram Charan arriving at the venue, greeting the team and lighting the ceremonial lamp.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan's father, performed the coconut breaking ritual and sounded the clapboard for the film's first shot. Sharing the moment, the makers wrote that the journey of RC17 begins with the mega clap.
The film carries the tagline "You Can Imagine" and is expected to show Ram Charan in a rugged, never before seen avatar. Shooting is set to begin at Ramoji Film City.
It is produced by Mythri Movie Makers with Sukumar Writings and T-Series Films. Anirudh Ravichander has been confirmed as the music composer, a notable change as Sukumar has usually worked with Devi Sri Prasad. Ratnavelu will handle the cinematography.
The film reunites Ram Charan and Sukumar after their 2018 blockbuster Rangasthalam. The makers are yet to announce the rest of the cast and crew.
